First Shipment: Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Understanding How Shipments Work in Shipifi
There are two ways to create your first shipment in Shipifi:
- From a Shopify Order – if your store is connected, your orders appear automatically in the Orders section.
- Manual Shipment – if your order isn’t from Shopify or any integration, you can create it manually.

Step 2: Creating a Manual Shipment
If your shipment is not from Shopify, you can create it manually inside your Shipifi Dashboard.
- Go to the Shipifi Dashboard.
- Click on Shipments from the sidebar.
- Select Create Shipment or Manual Shipment.
- Enter the shipment details manually.

Step 3: Add Shipment Origin (From Address)
Enter the details of where the package will be picked up from.
Required fields:
- Company Name
- Contact Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Address Line 1
- City, State, ZIP Code, Country

Step 4: Add Shipment Destination (To Address)
Now enter the delivery information for the recipient.
Required fields:
- Name or Company Name
- Email and Phone Number
- Delivery Address (Line 1, City, State, ZIP)
- Country
- Residential or Commercial Delivery (toggle option)

Step 5: Enter Package or Pallet Details
Provide accurate dimensions and weight to ensure correct rate calculation.
- Choose Package Type → Box or Pallet.
- Enter:
- Length
- Width
- Height
- Weight (lbs)
- Add a Description (optional).
- Click Add Package if you have multiple boxes.

Step 6: Add Pickup Date and Time Window (LTL Shipments Only)
If you’re shipping LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight, select a pickup date and window.
- Choose a future weekday.
- Add a pickup time range:
- Start: 09:00 AM
- End: 04:00 PM
- Confirm your pickup contact details.

Step 7: Compare Live Shipping Rates
Click Get Rates to fetch real-time quotes from multiple carriers.
- Shipifi will display available options (UPS, FedEx, XPO, Saia, ABF Freight, etc.).
- Compare based on Price, Transit Time, and Carrier.
- Select the best option for your shipment.
Step 8: Book Your Shipment
After selecting a rate, click Book Shipment to confirm.
Shipifi will instantly generate a Shipping Label (for parcel) or Bill of Lading (BOL) (for LTL).
- Review shipment summary.
- Click Confirm Booking.
- Download your Label or BOL PDF.
Step 9: Print and Attach Label
For parcel shipments, print the shipping label and attach it securely to your package.
For LTL shipments, print the BOL and hand it to the driver at pickup.
Step 10: Track Your Shipment
Once booked, Shipifi provides a tracking number for your shipment.
You can track progress directly from the Shipifi dashboard.
- Go to Shipments → Tracking.
- View Carrier, Status, and Estimated Delivery Date.
- Click the Tracking Link to open carrier details.
