To ensure Shipduo can calculate dimensions correctly, you’ll need to enter a dimension metafield in Shopify for each product variant.

The value you enter depends on your Route Mode setting:

If Route Mode is set to as_is: enter the actual shipping dimensions
- For LTL or freight, use the full pallet dimensions
- For small parcel shipments, use the full box dimensions
If Route Mode is set to direct_pallet: enter the dimensions of the individual item being placed onto the pallet, so Shipduo can calculate the final pallet dimensions

Use the format below when entering dimensions:

LengthXWidthXHeight

Example: 6X9X2.5

Step 1: Go to Custom Data Settings

Log in to your Shopify Admin.
Click on Settings (bottom left corner).
Select Custom Data from the menu.
Click on Variants (since dimensions may vary per product variant).

Step 2: Create a New Custom Field

Click the "Add definition" button (top-right corner).
Set the Name as "dimension".
Under Type, choose Single Line Text.

Step 1: Go to the Orders Section

Log in to [Shipduo]().
In the left-hand menu, click Orders.

Step 2: Choose an Order to Ship

Find the order you want to book.

Step 3: Fill in Shipment Details

In the popup window:

Confirm the From (shipper) and To (customer) addresses.
Add package details (weight, dimensions, number of packages).
Select your preferred carrier and service.
Click Get Quote to see live shipping rates.

Step 4: Book the Shipment

Review the rate and details.
Click Book Shipment.
Shipifi will automatically:
- Close the order in your dashboard.
- Add the tracking number and shipping information directly into the Shopify order notes.

Step 5: View Tracking in Shopify

Step 1: Get Your UPS API Credentials

To connect UPS, you will need the following:

Client ID
Client Secret
Account Number (your UPS shipper account number) 📌 You can obtain these credentials by following the official UPS guide: 👉 UPS Developer Portal – Get Started If you don’t already have API credentials, you’ll need to sign up for the UPS Developer Kit and generate them.

Step 2: Log in to Shipduo

Go to [Shipduo Login]() and log in with your credentials.
Navigate to Settings → Carrier Accounts.
Click Add Carrier and select UPS.

Step 3: Enter Your UPS Account Information

Fill in the fields as shown in the setup window:

Account Label → A nickname for your account inside Shipduo (e.g., UPS Main Account or UPS Test).
Client ID → Your UPS API Client ID from the developer portal.
Client Secret → Your UPS API Client Secret from the developer portal.
Account → Your UPS Shipper Number. 💡 Note: The Account Label is important because this is the name Shipduo will display when you select UPS rates.

User ID (SAIA-provided API username, usually an email)

Account Number (your SAIA freight account number)
Rate Key (provided by SAIA to access rate quotes)

Step 2: Log in to Shipduo
