How to Add a Package In Shipduo

How to Add a Package in Shipduo

Interactive Demo (SupaDemo):

Overview

Use Packages to save standard box/mailers you use for shipping, including dimensions, empty weight, and capacity.

Step-by-step

1) Open Settings → Packages

  1. From the left menu, click Settings
  2. Click Packages

Settings

2) Click Add Package

On the Packages page, click Add Package (top-right).

Add Package

⚠️ Note: Ignore the Buy Packages button—it’s not needed to add a package.

3) Fill out the package details

In the Add Package window, enter:

Name

  • Add a clear name you’ll recognize later (example: Small Box, 12x12x6 Box, Poly Mailer)

Dimensions

  • Length
  • Width
  • Height
  • Unit (example: inch)

Weight

  • Weight = the empty package weight (the box/mailer itself)
  • Weight Unit (example: Pounds)

Capacity

  • Capacity = the maximum weight the package can hold
  • Capacity Weight Unit (example: Pounds)

Add Package Dimensions

Tip: Include the dimensions in the name (example: 12 x 12 x 6 Box) so it’s easier to pick the right package during shipping.

4) Save

Click Save.

5) Confirm it was added

You’ll see your new package listed on the Packages page.

Success: You’ve successfully added your first package!

Troubleshooting

I don’t see Settings or Packages

You may not have permission. Ask an admin to enable access to Settings and Packages.

Save is disabled or nothing happens

Make sure all required fields are filled out and values are entered as numbers (especially dimensions, weight, and capacity).

Optional: Best practices

  • Weight should be the empty package weight (not the full shipment weight).
  • Capacity helps prevent selecting packaging that can’t safely hold the shipment.
