How to Automate Orders from Any System Using Email Integration
Not every platform has a direct integration — but almost every system can send an order confirmation email. Shipduo's Email Integration turns that into automation.
Every account gets its own unique integration email address. Any order email that lands in that inbox is read by Shipduo's AI, which pulls out all the order details — sender, receiver, items, weight, and dimensions — and creates a ready-to-ship order for you automatically. No API, no developers, no copy-paste.
This article shows you how to set it up.
How It Works
- Shipduo gives you a unique integration email address.
- You point your system's order emails to that address (or forward them).
- Shipduo's AI reads each incoming email and extracts the order info.
- The order appears in Email Integration Orders, ready for you to review and ship.
Step 1: Get Your Integration Email
- From the left menu, go to Orders → Emails Integration.
- Find Your integration email near the top of the page.
- Click Copy.
💡 Tip: This address is unique to your account. Keep it private — anything sent to it becomes an order.
Step 2: Send Your Order Emails to That Address
Add your Shipduo integration email anywhere a system sends order confirmations. A few common ways:
- As an order-notification recipient in your store, marketplace, ERP, or order management system.
- As a CC on order confirmation emails.
- By forwarding order emails to it (manually or with an inbox rule that auto-forwards them).
Because it works off plain email, you can connect virtually any system — including ones with no built-in Shipduo integration.
💡 Tip: Set up an auto-forwarding rule in your email so qualifying order emails are sent to your integration address automatically. Then orders flow in with zero manual work.
Popular use case: eBay & Amazon
A great example is your eBay or Amazon orders. Add your Shipduo integration email as an order notification recipient in your eBay or Amazon seller settings. From then on, every time you get a new order, the marketplace's order email is sent to Shipduo, the AI reads it, and the order is pulled into your dashboard automatically — exactly as if you had a built-in integration with eBay or Amazon.
This is the easiest way to ship marketplace orders through Shipduo without any extra setup or development.
Step 3: Orders Import Automatically
When an order email arrives, Shipduo's AI reads it and creates an order on the Email Integration Orders page. For each order you'll see:
- Order number and date
- Sender (origin) and Receiver (destination)
- Items and Package details (weight and dimensions)
- An action to ship it
Use the Search and Filter tools to find specific orders as your list grows.
Step 4: Review and Ship
- Open the imported order and confirm the extracted details look correct (addresses, weight, dimensions, items).
- Click Ship.
- Compare the available rates and choose your carrier.
- Book the shipment and generate your label or BOL.
💡 Tip: Always give imported orders a quick review before shipping. AI extraction is accurate, but a quick check of weight and dimensions ensures the right rate.
Troubleshooting
- Order didn't show up? Confirm the email was actually sent to your exact integration address, and give it a moment to process. Check Search/Filter in case it imported under a different value.
- Some details are missing or wrong? The order email may not have included that information clearly. Open the order and fill in or correct the missing fields before shipping.
- Want to connect a specific platform? As long as it can send or forward an order email, it will work. Reach out if you'd like help setting up forwarding rules.
