How to Get a Quick Quote

Quick Quotes let you check shipping rates in seconds — without creating a shipment or booking anything. Just enter a few details and Shipduo returns carrier options and prices.
This makes it especially useful for sales teams: you can quote a customer on the spot, compare options, and share a price without any commitment. Nothing is shipped and no order is created — it's purely for pricing.


Step 1: Open Quick Quotes

  1. From the left menu, click Quick Quotes.
  2. Choose LTL or Small Parcel at the top, depending on the shipment.


Step 2: Select Your Role

Under I am the, choose Shipper, Consignee, or Third Party, depending on your role in the shipment.


Step 3: Enter Pickup Details

Under Where are we picking up?:

  1. Set the Pickup Date.
  2. Enter the ZIP / Postal Code. Shipduo confirms the location below the field (for example, "Fontana, CA, US").


Step 4: Enter Delivery Details

Under Where are we delivering?, enter the destination ZIP / Postal Code.


Step 5: Add Shipment Details

Under Shipment details, describe what you're quoting:

  1. Check Stackable or Hazardous Materials if they apply.
  2. Enter the Size — choose the Unit and enter Length, Width, and Height.
  3. Add the Weight and freight Class as needed.
  4. Use the duplicate icon to copy an item, or add more items for multi-item quotes.


Step 6: View Rates

Click View Rates. Shipduo returns the available carrier options and prices on the right, so you can compare and quote — all without booking.

💡 Tip (for sales): Quick Quotes are perfect for live customer calls. You get a price range in seconds, can compare cheapest vs. fastest, and nothing is committed — quote first, book later through Orders or a manual shipment when the deal closes.


Troubleshooting

  • No rates returned? Make sure both ZIP codes, the size, weight, and class are filled in. Incomplete details can stop carriers from quoting.
  • Quote seems high or low? Double-check the dimensions, weight, and any flags like residential or hazardous — they all affect the price.
  • Want to turn a quote into a shipment? Quick Quotes don't book anything. To ship, create a manual shipment or ship the order from Orders. See How to Book a Manual Shipment on Shipduo.
